Yet another way to waste your time at work: Instant Chess. This site is actually pretty good, in that you don't have to download or register. You just hit the splash page, enter a user name and the site lines you up randomly with the player who's login time was nearest yours. I was stuck at a tradeshow this last weekend, and this made the whole process more bearable. The only problem is that, because your stats are not maintained on the site, there's nothing to stop pussies from Belarus from closing their window when you take their Queen in the first three moves of the game.
