Best known as a purveyor of affordable automobiles, Hyundai enters into the market of super-trendy gadgetry with this little device: The W100. This cell phone watch or "Personal Mobile Gateway" also includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, a stylus-led touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity (so you can use your futuristic earpiece), a Micro SD card...and it also plays MP3s. As of right now, this will be an Asia-only release and, although an English-version is in the works, there is not yet a release date for this product. For more information visit www.hyundai.com. |

Since being founded January 6, 2000, the Music Genome Project staff has analyzed tens of thousands of individual songs and classified them for characteristics ranging from vocals (male or female) to the most subtle tones, harmonies and instrumentation. These efforts led to the creation of Pandora Radio. Asking for LCD Soundsystem begets Phonique for the "male vocals and tight kick sound" or you can ask the system to shift gears and play something different. Tell it you want Will Oldham mixed in, and now you are enjoying some Sea and Cake ("minor key tonality, subtle use of fender rhodes" - its that much smarter than us). Create multiple stations - Out Hud plus Royksopp gives birth to Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herron Band. Now, you can add your Pandora playlist to Facebook, to Sprint mobile phones, and even create an entire wireless home theater using products by Sonos and Logitech. |
