The real blessing of the Hotel Molina Lario in Málaga, Spain, at least in the room I happened to book, was the sleek flatscreen TV - and the fact that something was wrong with the volume control.  By disabling the volume, they were saying, "go on the roof and stare in awe at the juxtaposition of the 16th century with our rooftop pool and the highrise condo skyline along the water." And then, they said "go for a walk and take covert photographs of that 90 year old woman with purple-tinted sunglasses." After opening up the wallet in Puerto Banus, it was nice to be right in the hub of a city with late night grilled carne for 3 euro, complete with their own brand of crazy people (not a reference to the classy women pictured below by any stretch) to remind us of good old LA.
