Good Society Fanny Pack E-mail
Monday, 22 October 2007
In 1984, during a tragic accident at Union Carbide India,  40 tons of lethal chemicals were unleashed on members from the Bhopal community. Some 500,000 very poor people were initially affected in the fall-out, which has had long-lasting repercussions on the health of the local people and environment. This event, although being one of many, has created the impetus for Good Society's decision to create The Fannypack. The Fannypack is an accessories line produced by the Bhopal Rehabilitation Group in strict compliance with Fair Trade standards, in  effort to help the Bhopals to rebuild and restore their community. We applaud Good Society, in their efforts to improve methods of production in developing countries and trying to make the world a better place.
