Matte Black is the creation of two brothers, based out of Long Beach, CA. The collection is designed by Paul Wignall (a model selected by Tom Ford in 2000 to be the face of Gucci) with creative direction by older brother Matt (the photographer/engineer for The Cold War Kids). Created as a full cut-and-sew line in 2006, Matte Black is a very young line that is distributed in very select stores.
