Owned and operated by the founder of fashion label Modern Amusement, Generic Youth is taking a different approach to the California clothing industry. Design, cutting, sewing, screenprint and sales are all under one roof, a very organic operation. Garments are constructed from an eclectic mix of materials. Vintage tees are cut up and sewn onto sweatshirts, while scrap denim for bottoms is obtained from larger neighbors like Volcom and Paul Frank. Currently, their warehouse/storefront on 16th and Pomona in Costa Mesa, CA is the exclusive retail location for the lifestyle collection.
