LA skate brand Elwood is putting something together with Active Ride Shop to do their part for Earth Day this year. Not to be a hippie, but more clothing companies should be doing stuff like this. Good deal, good press, good cause. April 22nd, 2008, here is the deal: + Donate any old jeans and get 25 percent off on a new pair of Elwood jeans. Bring in your old Elwood jeans and get a fresh new pair of Elwood’s FREE. + Donate on old Tee-shirt and you’ll get a new organic cotton Elwood Tee for FREE. + Elwood is donating all the old jeans to an organization that turns donated denim into cotton fiber insulation for building green homes. The old Tee-shirts will be donated to the Calvary Chapel Solid Rock, an organization that provides clothing and shelter to orphans in Mexico.   4:30 PM to 6 PM at Long Beach Active 7PM at Active Santa Monica, there will also be art from Elwood’s contributing artists Greg Higgins, Jon Coulthard, Justin Abbink, Elissa Gennello, and Dan Carpenter. 8PM Mt.
