G-Star Raw + Cannondale Bike E-mail
Tuesday, 12 February 2008

G-Star Raw has a history of great collaborations, selectively chosen, unique concepts that are brilliantly executed. This project with Cannondale is no different. Applying their trademark post-apocolyptic, gun-metal-grey-toned style to the Cannondale BAD BOY frame, G-Star has dressed up this bike in an understatedly hard-core yet aesthetically pleasing way. Unlike many of the other clothing brands coming out with bikes as of late (see Obey+Fuji, Gucci, and Chanel), this one is not a fixed gear or a city bike. The mountain bike style frame employs an 8 speed internal hub to change gears (at least they aren't showing). Brooks saddle, Brooks leather handlebar grips, integrated lighting system, anti-scratch frame...the full deal. Each of the components, mostly by Shimano, were made with custom finishes for this project exclusively. It is limited edition, only 500 in production. They hit Cannondale dealers in March, first come, first serve...they won't last long. See more photos...
