The Old Truman Brewery E-mail
Friday, 02 November 2007
Home to over 200 small businesses - including fashion designers, art galleries, photography studios, restaurants and boutiques - the 11 acre site of the Old Truman Brewery in Tower Hamlets has become a hub of innovation and creativity.  The site was used as a brewery beginning in the late 17th century, with the Black Eagle Brewery eventually becoming the biggest on London in 1724.  This weekend, the Dray Walk Gallery, one of main gallery spaces on the site,  is featuring the photography of Allan Tannenbaum from the glory days of Studio 54.  There is something about seeing Andy Warhol on rollerskates that should make everyone happy.
