Art for the Environment E-mail
Monday, 03 March 2008
Come check out the Art for the Environment show on March 20 in Irvine, hosted by our friends at OC Green Guide and 98ten Fine Art. A diverse exhibition, Art for the Environment is comprised of works by 15 environmentally conscious artists such as Kathy Jones, a seven-year exhibitor at the Festival of the Arts, and Jesse Miller, who creates surf inspired pieces including murals and wood carvings.

Come enjoy live music, organic hors d'oeuvres and an array of art by these established and emerging local artists. All proceeds from the silent auction and a portion of associated sales will benefit local environmental organizations including Surfrider, Heal the Bay and The Laguna Canyon Foundation.

The silent auction will close at 9 p.m., so bid early but stay late for a rare performance by Marc B. An Orange County native, Marc has played with the likes of Jack Johnson and Matt Costa and will share his surf-inspired sounds in a live acoustic performance beginning at 8 p.m. Visit ocgreenguide.com for more details.
